DETAILS:

June 13th, the Office of Diversity and Inclusion (ODI) in the Dept. of Treasury and the NJ Business Action Center (NJBAC), housed in the Dept. of State, will be hosting our inaugural New Jersey Pathways Business Forum (NJPBF) at Rutgers University, Livingston Campus, Livingston Student Center, Piscataway, New Jersey.

Attached are Save the Date assets (English and Spanish) along with the Forum’s registration link which is now LIVEState of New Jersey - NJ Business Pathways Business Forum 2025. This Forum is hosted in accordance with P.L. 2023, c. 165, which requires ODI and the BAC to host an annual matchmaking event.

Over the course of two days, the NJPBF event will bring federal, state, local, and private procurement experts together in one space to assist small and certified businesses in understanding and navigating the pathways to procurement. The Department of the Treasury’s Division of Revenue & Enterprise Services (DORES - business registration/certification), Division of Purchase and Property (DPP - NJ START: the State’s e-procurement system), and the Division of Property Management and Construction (DPMC) teams will be onsite and prepared to provide businesses with technical assistance and support as well as the BAC with providing business preparation tips and additional resources. The Forum will also host coordinated matchmaking sessions between procurement officials and suppliers over the course of the two-day Forum.

So that businesses are prepared and knowledgeable of what the State procures in advance of the Forum, here is a link where businesses can find DPP’s commodity codes for goods and services and professional services:
Commodity Codes Search. Additionally, attached is a list of construction and construction-related services trade codes (Form 3, page 4 only) provided by DPMC.

As always, please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or need additional information.

Thank you,

Melanie
